Testimonials
Here are some letters from recent jobs we have done. We hope
to hear from you!
Dear Fred,
I wish to thank you again for the tremendous work by you and your crew. I feel so fortunate to have a builder like you. You always go the extra distance to help out wherever needed. You took the time to meet with my property board and an engineer and drew up extra drawings and letters, at no extra cost, because it was needed for the job.
Your workmanship is fantastic. Everything is high quality and your crew was a pleasure to have around. I have never seen such a neat crew. I love my finished room, built-in's, sconces and the gorgeous wood floor you recommended. You have helped to make our house a home.
I am looking forward to another project with Village Builders soon. Thank you, Fred.
Sincerely,
Laura Collins
Dear Fred,
Your crew was wonderful and very professional. I was impressed at the talent they exhibited. it was tight and hard to do the underbelly of my beast, but they did an excellent job.
Sincerely,
Dan
Dear Fred,
I have enclosed the final payment which includes an invoice from Allen Lumber
for a door.
We are very happy with our addition and are happy to refer your company and work. Please thank all of the guys for their flexibility with the curveballs we threw them. Not once did we ever get a "we can't do that" and it made things very comfortable. You have surrounded yourself with good guys and all very skilled.
Feel free to stay in touch. I have a feeling that we will be working with each other again in the future.
Sincerely,
Brian & Lilli Cain
The Village Builders crew was accurate, on schedule, professional
(& clean) when they renovated a badroom & bath and installed (in a cubby)
this fabulous sauna. We love in, winter & summer, and as we get older we love
it even more for the aches & stiffness. Thanks Fred.

Dear Fred,
It seems like only yesterday my wife and I started planning for our new camp
on Lake Eden. As we prepare to move into the camp next weekend, we are excited
and I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you for your part in the project.
I am sure you can remember, I was considering fiberglass, going with sprayed
on foam insulation or some combination of the two, until we talked with you. Based
on the performance we got this winter from using sprayed on foam insulation, I
would never consider fiberglass again. We used less than 400 gallons of propane
to heat for an entire winter! This low usage is even more impressive when you
consider it was all it took to heat a 1909-square foot home during construction
and that the casing boards around the doors and windows were not installed until
just this past month.
The project has been a great success. I would highly recommend spray in foam
insulation to any one who is considering a new home, renovation or addition. Your
crew was a key part of the project. Your crew showed up when they said they would
and performed the work on schedule, cleaning up when they were through.
Again, thank you. We plan on having an open house sometime this summer, we
will be sure to send you an invitation.
Sincerely,
Mitchell H. Jay
Dear Fred,
For your info: From 11-26-02 to 04-23-02 (148 days) I used 339.7 gallons of
oil. This calculates to 2.295 gallons per day. Thanks for using the foam insulation
rather than fiberglass.

Dear Fred,
It seems like only yesterday that I was so concerned with the
"unknowns" of my construction project. I had had one bad experience with some
previous work that I had done to my home by another contractor. I now needed to
do another project and find a new contractor. I got prices, estimates and met
with three contractors in all, it was confusing but each one added a little more
information to my newfound knowledge of working with construction and builders.
It was a valuable experience.
Now my project is complete and I couldn't be more delighted.
You have restored my faith in the fact that there are good, honest and trustworthy
people out there that one can trust and work with. You bent over backwards to
help me save money and get my project in on budget. Your men were complete professionals
and worked together like they'd been doing it all their lives. They show up on
time, did what they said they'd do and didn't waste time. I can't stress to anyone
that is considering any type of construction work to talk with you and your professional
team. You will come away with the same trust and confidence that I felt in the
very beginning of this process and when your project is complete you will have
a great deal of satisfaction if knowing that your project was done with care,
consideration and YES, you made the right choice when you chose Village Builders.
Sincerely yours

Dear Fred,
As you know, my first building experience was in the
service supervising the construction of bowling alleys, service clubs
and other large recreational buildings. After that, I worked for nursing
home chains with responsibilities for the maintenance of health care
facilities. This was followed by the responsibility for the construction
of several large additions to facilities at Smugglers Notch. As you
are also aware, I have developed a portfolio of investment properties
in Lamoille County.
My most recent project was an apartment property on
Clay Hill in Johnson. Village Builders was contracted to do all structural
carpentry and to foam the building. First, I would like to comment upon
the competence, professionalism and efficiency of your carpentry crew
that operated under Dana’s and your direction. There was not one
day missed by any member of the crew except with significant advanced
notice. The building’s structure was finished in what I consider
to be a record 46 days from the commencement of work on the poured slab.
The cost was billed at an hourly rate and the total cost was significantly
below your estimate, and your estimate was the best I received. The
quality of the work was more than satisfactory, and your crew performed
a number of tasks outside of the original scope, (ie. Installing locks
and snow guards). There was minimal conflict between subcontractors.
All in all, the experience was exceptionally good, and I would welcome
the opportunity to repeat it.
The rigid foam technique that you have pioneered in
this area, was new to me. Your explanation of the cost benefits and
its improved structural integrity convinced me to give the technique
a try. The cost savings were real, and the structural integrity is obvious.
I cannot at this point, determine the energy efficiency, but the building
meets the criteria of the state’s five star energy efficiency
program.
Fred, I owe you and your crews a great deal of thanks.
I would be happy to tour the building with any prospective developer
to whom you are making a proposal. All of us at Trinity Management wish
your team well.
Sincerely yours
Bradford B. Moore, President

“Village Builders are reliable and efficient.
I bought an old house and they have been a tremendous help in upgrading
and rehabilitating the old girl. They are always within a few dollars
of the quotes they have given me, and the guys are respectful and efficient.
I wouldn’t even consider hiring another contractor for my plumbing,
heating, electrical, carpentry and insulating needs. If I have an emergency
they are there right way to take care of it. There seems to be no job
too big or too small and they even show me how to do a few things myself
to save money. I always call Village Builders first.”

Our 'Seal of Approval' goes to Village Builders. Their
construction approach created a natural flow connecting our contemporary
home to the addition, new porch and breezeway; which leads to the garage.
We also recommend Village Builders for their integrity and reasonable
price.”
